Let me introduce myself! My name is Amy Kelly. I have been teaching since 2003, and have spent all but three years at Minooka Community High School. I have taught anatomy and physiology, environmental science, honors biology, AP biology, general biology and forensics. I am a graduate of Eastern Illinois University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, and also Olivet Nazarene University where I received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and my leadership endorsement. I am a co sponsor for the Science National Honors Society. I am a National Board Certified Teacher, a National Geographic Certified Educator, and a Google Level 1 Certified Educator. I have two sons and many pets! I really like hiking, fishing, running, reading, and photography. I created this site to provide links to the multiple resources I use in my classes, and to post general course information. I will utilize Google Classroom to share lesson materials with students and my blog to communicate announcements and course materials. I have my blog, syllabus, and safety information linked on each course page.
I also help run a science peer tutoring program for biology, chemistry or physics. For more information check out this flyer: Peer Tutoring Contact Mrs. Kelly at: |
